Prestigious recognition highlights ongoing excellence in care and service to patients

AAAHC LogoSurgical Associates, S.C., Central Wisconsin’s largest private surgical practice, is proud to announce it has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Status as an AAAHC-accredited organization affirms that Surgical Associates meets rigorous, nationally-recognized standards for health care services. An independent, external evaluation distinguished Surgical Associates from many other ambulatory care facilities by acknowledging it provides the highest quality of care to its patients.

The AAAHC accreditation process includes a self-assessment and extensive on-site surveys carried out by AAAHC expert surveyors, including physicians, nurses and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. All ambulatory health care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation must demonstrate participation in ongoing self-evaluation, peer review and education to continuously improve care and services.

More than 6,100 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation, and among those which do, not all are granted accreditation.

“AAAHC accreditation positions Surgical Associates as a community leader and validates our commitment to our patients,” said Mike Murphy, CEO of Surgical Associates. “We are truly honored and humbled by this achievement and intend to use the evaluation to build upon our strengths and identify opportunities to provide the highest level of care possible.”
